The Day of Children
National Holiday starts 23rd April with morning parade on Istiklal Cadesi in Beyoglu. Children walking, showing folk dances, and playing to music instruments, and proud parents watching all this together wth other people.
International Theatre Festival Istanbul
The Theatre Festival is usually in May. In the theatres changing famous international and Turkish thetres. The results are many time inspirative. The main place of the festival is Attaturk cultural centre situated in the Taxim Square. But the show is also in other places like the Great Byzantine Palace istanbul and Rumeli Hisari. In English in only very few plays. 
Orthodox Easter
For the Greek Orhodox Church is the holly mass on Easter Sunday the greatest eveny in year.
The Church of St. George in the Phanar (Fener) in Istanbul is the fifth Patriarchal church in Constantinople and home to the Ecumenical Patriarchate since the fifteenth century.

International Jazz Festival
Once belobgs to the Music Festival but in 1994 was the Jazz separate and it is growing.
It is 2 weeks Festival and starts first week in July. It offers traditional Jazz, electronic Jazz, drum n bass, world music and rock. In the past we could see artists like : Joan Baez, Nick Cave, Miles Davies, Charlie Haden, Luo Read.
Where: Open Air Theatre Cemil Topuzlu, Concert Hall Cemal Resit Ray, Nardiz Jazz Club, Babylon and variety Caffes in Istanbul.

Efes Pilsen One Love
This two days fest is newcomer on festival scene - it is in July in Park Orman and offers Pop and electronic music.
In 2003 came here 15.000 people to see Mobi and Manu Chao, in 2004 to see Peter Gabriel and John Cale.
