Istanbul Districts - Serraglio

The Seraglio Point is situated between The Grand Bazaar, Sultanahmet and Marmara sea - it has been always an important part of the city due to its strategical position. In Byzantine times it was a place of many official buildings and lot of churches and monasteries were at this place.

The palace complex cover almost whole part of this districts with the palace buildings, beautiful gardens and amazing parks.

Part of the palace is archeological museum with great collection of artefacts from Turkey and other countries.
